With TaylorMade: Scottie Scheffler’s Unbeatable Stats on the Green

An incredible run of success began for Scottie Scheffler at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March 2024. In just ten starts on the PGA Tour, the 28-year-old recorded six victories and immortalized himself among the most successful players in the history of the PGA Tour. Not only a second Masters title, but also a title defense at the Players Championship have graced his resume since then.

He used a new putter for the first time at the Arnold Palmer Invitational: Scheffler opted for the TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter. With this model, a Mallett putter, the world number 1 has since been more successful than ever before, as his statistics on and around the green show.

Scottie Scheffler: With TaylorMade to birdie rain

Scottie Scheffler played his way to his six victories in the last few months with a total of 121 birdies, 27 of which he made in the final rounds of the tournaments. He made 28 birdies from over 15 feet, 11 from over 20 feet and six from over 30 feet. Figures that prove that the world number one has nerves of steel: seven times in the six tournaments he achieved a birdie series of three birdies or more.

He usually holed his longest birdie putts from 30 t0 40 feet. In the third round of the US Masters, he holed twice from this distance for birdies, putting his strong competitors under real pressure. Another statement at the first major of the year: an eagle putt from 31 feet.

However, Scottie Scheffler converted his longest birdie putt to date at his first tournament with the TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He converted the birdie from almost 45 feet on the 15th hole of the second round.

While Scottie Scheffler excelled with his long putts, he also frequently made it easy for himself thanks to his precise approaches. He often drove the ball off the fairway and onto the stick or made long putts close to the hole. For example, at his last triumph, the Travelers Championship, he put the ball from 132 yards directly on the 18th hole of the Moving Day.

The TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter

Scottie Scheffler played a blade putter for most of his career. He played his first rounds with a Mallett putter, the model with the significantly larger club head, in 2023, but returned to the familiar blade head. TaylorMade then developed a new prototype that would be perfectly matched to Scheffler’s putting. After various adjustments, Scottie Scheffler finally found the perfect model in the TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter for a winning streak that hardly any golfer had achieved before.

WITB: Robert MacIntyre Wins with a Mix

After a thrilling final, Robert MacIntyre can finally call himself a PGA Tour winner. The 27-year-old Scot prevailed against strong competition at the RBC Canadian Open 2024 and emerged victorious.

WITB: Robert MacIntyre with a diverse mix

Robert MacIntyre is one of the few players on the tour who is left-handed and therefore stands out. The Scot has been dreaming of winning on the PGA Tour for several years. On 2 June, his dream was to come true and he celebrated an emotional triumph. The clubs that led him to victory are a colourful mix of Titleist, Cobra and TaylorMade. His father supported him on the bag, which is hugely important for the left-hander: ‘It was always my dream to win on the PGA Tour when I got my PGA Tour card and I just can’t believe I did it with my dad on the bag. The guy taught me how to play golf.’

WITB: Brooks Koepka with Srixon and Cleveland to Fourth LIV title

The PGA Championship winner in 2023 switched to Srixon/Cleveland as his sponsor two years ago and has been playing with clubs and tour bags from the Japanese brand ever since. However, Brooks Koepka first had to look for the right partner. In addition to various companies, Brooks Koepka also tried out different models from the manufacturers. Now he’s winning again on the LIV Golf Tour and we take a look inside the tour winner’s bag.

WITB: The golf equipment of Brooks Koepka 2024

For his driver, he opted for the ZX5 LS Mk II model from Srixon instead of the “pro model” ZX7. With a weight in the back part of the sole, the ZX5 helps to achieve a straighter swing path and slightly more launch height compared to the ZX7, while the low-spin version also helps to achieve a penetrating ball flight and therefore more length, at least for the pros on the tours. For the fairway wood, Koepka looks back to the 2017 model from TaylorMade. The M series was the predecessor of the current Stealth models and seems to have taken a liking to the American. The M2 fairway wood with 16.5 degrees makes it into his set up. The fairway wood is complemented by the Nike Vapor Pro Driving Iron. The sporting goods manufacturer’s iron, which was released back in 2015, has a centre of gravity directly in the sweet spot and, despite the now nine-year-old technology, seems to be a bank in the setup of the renewed LIV winner.

For his irons, he then opts again for Srixon and the blades from the latest 2023 series. The ZX7 Mk II irons impress with their slim design and offer Koepka the possibility of different flight curves and the best possible control over ball flight and spin.

He also relies on his equipment supplier for the wedges and opts for the sister company Cleveland. The RTX Zipcore wedges are also in his bag for the 2023 season and seem to have won his trust around the green. In addition to a putter from Scottie Cameron in the Newport 2 Tour version, the Srixon Z-Star Diamond golf balls make it into Koepka’s bag.

This makes the set a blend of introductory golf content for parents looking to get their kids into the game of golf, while also being a high performing product specifically designed for different age groups.

Junior Equipment designed with a purpose

Led by a 400cc 17° Titanium driver with a large flexible face and a low Centre of Gravity (CG) designed for maximum distance and forgiveness, each club in the set is built to allow for proper fundamentals to be developed from an early age. The set has the appropriate weight, length and loft to avoid poor technique arising from having to counteract for improper equipment.

McIlroy, Tiger And Co.: Golf Stars Compete In New TaylorMade Challenge

In this challenge organised by TaylorMade, the staff players of the well-known brand compete against each other. The accuracy of the professionals’ drives on the range is put to the test. Naturally, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Nelly Korda and co. will be using the latest driver from TaylorMade, the Qi10.

TaylorMade Challenge: Who hits the perfect centre?

TaylorMade wanted to answer this question and set its high-calibre staff players a demanding challenge. Using the Qi10 driver, the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour stars have to hit a narrow corridor on a slightly sloping fairway. Ten points are awarded for hitting the centre of the fairway, five points are awarded for hitting the slightly wider second area to the left and right of the centre and two points are awarded for hitting the fairway completely outside the markings.
It was by no means a one-on-one competition, with TaylorMade putting “Team USA” with Tiger Woods, Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda against “Team International” with Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Charlie Hull and Brooke Henderson.

Who can claim victory in TaylorMades “Accuracy Alley”?
