From driver to putter: A look inside Justin Rose’s bag and the clubs that helped him set a tournament record at Torrey Pines.
At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. Securing his first title of the season with a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born golfer’s versatile club selection perfectly complemented his impressive play in Southern California.
Justin Rose’s Driver Choice: Callaway
Justin Rose starts off the tee with a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max driver featuring a 9° loft. This high-performance club suits experienced players seeking maximum control, compact clubhead shape, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiveness offered by the “Max” design. It combines tour-tested performance with improved stability thanks to Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface and create multiple sweet spots across its surface to stabilize spin and launch angle on off-center hits. Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver is a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, featuring Twist-Face technology that promotes explosive shots from both the turf and tee. An enhanced Speed Pocket sole slot increases face flexibility, boosting the trampoline effect and transferring more energy to a larger ball area for higher, longer shots with less penalty on imperfect contact. Rose also carries a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for mid-to-long approach shots, providing a high ball flight and soft landing on the green, especially useful from the rough. The QiD4 is a recent model already favored by many professionals.
Irons and Wedges that Combine Control and Feel
Depending on course conditions, Rose uses either a Miura TC-502 4- or 5-utility iron and Miura MC-502 irons (6–PW) for his regular set. The TC series are Tour Cavity irons offering some forgiveness, while the MC series are Muscle Cavity blades designed for maximum control and feel but requiring precise striking. For wedges, Rose relies on Titleist, choosing between Vokey Design SM10 models at 52° or 56° loft and a Vokey Design WedgeWorks 60° loft wedge. His final club is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter, tested since September 2025, made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum in a mallet design. Like many Tour pros, Rose uses the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball.
