WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: A look inside Justin Rose’s bag revealing the clubs that helped him at Torrey Pines.

At 45, the Englishman Justin Rose dominated his opponents at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour, securing his first title of the season with a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par. A look into his bag shows a versatile club selection matching his impressive game in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s Driver Choice: Callaway

Justin Rose starts off the tee with a Callaway driver featuring a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head shape, and low spin, while retaining the forgiveness of the \”Max\” design. It combines tour-tested performance with enhanced stability through Ai Smart Face technology, optimizing the clubface based on real player data and creating multiple \”sweet spots\” to stabilize spin and launch angle on off-center hits. Rose reached a maximum drive of 352 yards (approximately 322 m) with this driver at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver, Rose uses a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, featuring Twist-Face technology for explosive shots from both the ground and tee. An improved Speed Pocket, a cut-out in the sole, allows acceleration even on low strikes. This increases the face’s flexibility, enhances the trampoline effect at impact, and transfers more energy across a larger part of the ball, resulting in higher, longer shots with less loss on imperfect contact.

His bag also includes a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots. Its high ball flight ensures soft landings on the green and is especially useful from the rough. The QiD4 is a recently introduced model already popular among professionals.

Irons Combining Control and Feel

Rose selects 4- and 5-utility irons from the Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series depending on course conditions. His regular irons (6–PW) are also Miura, from the MC-502 series. The TC models are tour cavity irons while the MC models are muscle cavity irons. Muscle-back irons (blades) provide maximum control and a strong feel with compact heads but require precise strikes. Cavity-back irons feature a cut-out behind the face redistributing weight to the perimeter, offering more forgiveness, a lower center of gravity, and higher ball flight.

For wedges, Rose trusts traditional maker Titleist, using either Vokey Design SM10 wedges with 52° or 56° lofts or a Vokey Design WedgeWorks wedge at 60° loft.

The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron putter from Carlsbad, California. The Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype, not yet available commercially, has been tested by Rose since September 2025. Made of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum, the mallet-style putter complements his Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, used like many of his tour colleagues.
