From driver to putter: We take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and reveal the clubs that helped him to a record win at Torrey Pines.
Even at 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player claimed his first title of the season. A look inside his bag shows that his club selection is as versatile as his game, which he impressively demonstrated in Southern California.
Justin Rose’s Choice of Driver: Callaway
Off the tee, Justin Rose uses a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is known as a high-performance club for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head shape, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiving benefits of the ‘Max’ design. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability thanks to the Ai Smart Face technology. This technology utilizes real player data to optimize the clubface, creating multiple ‘sweet spots’ across the surface, stabilizing spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (around 322 meters) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver is a 3-wood from TaylorMade, the M6, featuring a 15° loft. This wood incorporates Twist-Face technology, similar to the M5 series, delivering explosive shots both from the ground and the tee. An evolution of the Speed Pocket — a cutout in the sole — allows for accelerated ball speed even on low strikes. The Speed Pocket increases the clubface’s flexibility, enhances the trampoline effect at impact, and transfers more energy to a larger portion of the ball, resulting in higher, longer shots with less speed loss on off-center hits.
His bag also includes a 7-wood from TaylorMade with a 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots, providing a high ball flight for soft landings on the green, especially useful from rough lies. Rose uses the new QiD4 model from TaylorMade, recently introduced but already popular among many pros.
Justin Rose’s Irons Combine Control and Feel
Depending on course conditions in the utility iron range, Rose selects either a 4- or 5-iron from the Japanese manufacturer Miura
