From driver to putter: We take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and reveal the clubs that powered his record win at Torrey Pines.
Even at 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born golfer secured his first title of the season. A look inside his bag shows that his club selection is as versatile as his game, which he impressively demonstrated in Southern California.
Justin Rose’s Choice of Driver: Callaway
Justin Rose tees off with a Callaway driver featuring a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is known as a high-performance club for experienced players seeking maximum control, compact clubhead, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiving benefits of the \”Max\” design. It combines tour-tested performance with enhanced stability through the Ai Smart Face technology. This technology uses real player data to optimize the clubface, creating multiple \”sweet spots\” across the entire face, stabilizing spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, equipped with Twist-Face technology for explosive shots from both the tee and the ground. The club also features an improved Speed Pocket, a sole cut that enhances ball speed even on low hits, increasing face flexibility, trampoline effect at impact, and energy transfer across a larger ball area. The result is higher, longer shots with less distance loss on mishits.
Also in his bag is a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots, offering a high ball flight for a soft landing on the green and performing especially well from the rough. This new model was recently introduced and is already popular among many pros.
Irons That Combine Control and Feel
For irons, Rose selects 4- or 5-utility irons from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series depending on course conditions. His regular irons (6-PW) are also Miura, from the MC-502 line. The TC series are tour-cavity irons while the MC series are muscle-cavity irons. Muscle-back irons (blades) offer maximum control and feel with compact heads but demand precise strikes; cavity-back irons have a cutout behind the face that shifts weight to the perimeter, providing more forgiveness, a lower center of gravity, and higher ball flight.
For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist’s Vokey Design models: either the SM10 with 52° or 56° loft, or the WedgeWorks with 60° loft.
The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter, crafted from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aerospace aluminum in a mallet design. Not yet commercially available, Rose has been testing this putter since September
