From driver to putter: A look inside Justin Rose’s bag reveals the clubs that helped him set a record at Torrey Pines.
Even at 45, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his rivals at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the former South African secured his first title of the season. A look into his bag shows a versatile club selection matching his impressive play in Southern California.
Justin Rose’s Driver Choice: Callaway
Off the tee, Rose opts for a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head, and low spin, without sacrificing the forgiveness of the “Max” design. It features Ai Smart Face technology, optimizing the clubface with real player data to create multiple sweet spots, stabilizing spin and launch on off-center strikes. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a max drive of 352 yards (approx. 322 m) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver, Rose carries a 3-wood from TaylorMade’s M6 line with a 15° loft and Twist-Face technology for explosive shots from both turf and tee. The Speed Pocket sole slot improves ball speed even on low strikes by increasing face flexibility and the trampoline effect. Additionally, Rose uses a 7-wood, TaylorMade QiD4, with a 21° loft, recently introduced and popular among pros for mid to long approach shots, offering high ball flight and soft landings on the green, ideal from rough lies.
Irons Combining Control and Feel
For irons, Rose uses Japanese Miura clubs; a 4 or 5 utility iron from the TC-502 series depending on course conditions, and 6 through pitching wedge irons from the MC-502 line. The TC series are tour cavity irons, offering more forgiveness with weight shifted to the perimeter for a higher launch, while the MC series are muscle cavity irons (blades), prioritizing control and feel but requiring precision. Wedges are Titleist Vokey Design SM10 models at 52° and 56° lofts, or a Vokey WedgeWorks at 60°.
Rounding out his bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter, tested since September 2025 and not yet commercially available. Crafted from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aerospace aluminum in a mallet design, this putter is Rose’s choice alongside the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, favored by many on tour.
