From driver to putter: a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and the clubs that led him to a record win at Torrey Pines.
Even at 45, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player claimed his first title of the season. A look inside his bag reveals a club selection as versatile as his game, which he showcased impressively in Southern California.
Justin Rose Chooses Callaway for His Driver
Off the tee, Rose uses a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club aimed at experienced players seeking maximum control, compact head shape, and low spin, all while retaining the forgiveness benefits of the “Max” design. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability through Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface, creating multiple sweet spots to stabilize spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum carry of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft featuring Twist-Face technology, which delivers explosive shots both from the tee and the ground. An enhanced Speed Pocket cutout in the sole increases the clubface’s flexibility, enhancing the trampoline effect at impact and transmitting more energy to a larger area of the ball. The result is higher, longer shots with less loss on imperfect strikes. He also uses a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, perfect for medium to long approach shots that require a high ball flight and soft landing, particularly from the rough. This new model was recently introduced but is already popular among many pros.
Irons and Wedges Offering Control and Feel
For irons, Rose chooses either a 4 or 5 utility iron from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series depending on course conditions. For regular irons (6-PW), he opts for Miura MC-502 irons. The TC models are tour-cavity irons offering more forgiveness and higher launch, while the MC models are muscle-cavity (blade) irons providing maximum control and a responsive feel but demand precise strikes. For wedges, Rose relies on Titleist’s Vokey Design SM10 models with 52° or 56° lofts or the Vokey Design WedgeWorks with a 60° loft.
Rounding out his bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter, crafted from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum in a mallet design. Not yet commercially available, Rose has been testing this putter since September 2025. Like many tour players, he plays Titleist Pro V1x golf balls.
