WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: we take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and reveal the clubs that helped him secure a record win at Torrey Pines.

At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player claimed his first title of the season. A look into his bag shows that his club selection is as versatile as his game, which he impressively demonstrated in Southern California.

Justin Rose Chooses Callaway for His Driver

Off the tee, Justin Rose uses a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max driver with a 9° loft. This high-performance club is designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head shape, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiving benefits of the “Max” construction. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability via the Ai Smart Face, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface, creating multiple sweet spots across its surface. This technology stabilizes spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (about 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft. Featuring Twist-Face technology similar to the M5 series, it delivers explosive shots from both the turf and the tee. An advanced Speed Pocket in the sole increases the clubface’s flexibility, boosting trampoline effect on impact and transferring more energy across a larger ball area. This results in higher, longer shots with less distance loss on mishits.

He also includes a 7-wood from TaylorMade with a 21° loft in his bag. Ideal for mid-to-long approach shots, it promotes a high ball flight for soft landings on the green and works especially well from rough. Rose relies on the recently introduced TaylorMade QiD4, already popular among many tour pros.

Irons and Wedges That Combine Control and Feel

Depending on course conditions, Rose selects a 4 or 5 utility iron from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series. For his standard irons (6–PW), he also uses Miura irons, labeled MC-502. The TC models are tour cavity-back irons, while the MC models are muscle cavity-back irons. Muscle-back (blade) irons provide maximum control and intense feedback through compact heads but require precise strikes. Cavity-back irons feature a back cavity, shifting weight to the perimeter for greater forgiveness, a lower center of gravity, and higher ball flight.

For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist’s Vokey Design SM10 models with 52° or 56° lofts or the Vokey Design WedgeWorks with a 60° loft.

The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter from Carlsbad, California. Not yet commercially available, Rose has been testing it since September 2025. Made from 303 stainless steel and 606
