WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: a look inside Justin Rose’s bag revealing the clubs that helped him set a record at Torrey Pines.

Even at 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated the competition at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player secured his first title of the season. A look inside his bag shows that his choice of clubs is as versatile as his game, which he impressively showcased in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s Driver Choice: Callaway

Off the tee, Justin Rose uses a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head shape, and low spin, without losing the forgiveness benefits of the “Max” design. It combines tour-tested performance with enhanced stability thanks to the Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface, creating multiple sweet spots over the entire surface. This helps stabilize spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum driving distance of 352 yards (approx. 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, featuring Twist-Face technology for explosive shots both from the fairway and tee. An enhanced Speed Pocket in the sole helps accelerate the ball even on low strikes by increasing the clubface’s flexibility and trampoline effect, transferring more energy to a larger part of the ball, resulting in higher, longer shots with less distance loss on imperfect contact.

He also includes a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots. Its high ball flight ensures soft landings on the green and is particularly effective for shots from the rough. This new model has recently been introduced but is already popular among many pros.

Irons and Wedges Combining Control and Feel

Depending on course conditions, Rose opts for either a 4-iron or 5-iron utility from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series. For his regular irons (6 to pitching wedge), he uses Miura MC-502 irons. The TC models are tour cavity back irons, and the MC models are muscle cavity back irons. Muscle-back blades offer maximal control and intense ball feel through compact heads but require precise strikes. Tour cavity backs provide more forgiveness with weight distributed toward the perimeter, resulting in higher launch and greater error tolerance.

For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist’s Vokey Design, choosing between the SM10 models with 52° or 56° loft and the WedgeWorks with 60° loft.

The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter from Carlsbad, California. Not yet available commercially, Rose has been testing this mallet-designed putter since September 2025. Made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum, it complements his play style.
