From driver to putter: We take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and reveal the clubs that helped him set a record at Torrey Pines.
At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated the field at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player secured his first title of the season. A look inside his bag shows that his club selection is as versatile as his game, which he impressively demonstrated in Southern California.
Justin Rose Relies on Callaway for His Driver
Off the tee, Justin Rose uses a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, compact head shape, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiving features of the “Max” design. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability thanks to the Ai Smart Face technology. This tech uses real player data to optimize the clubface, creating multiple “sweet spots” across the surface. It helps stabilize spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver is a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, featuring Twist-Face technology that delivers explosive shots from both the turf and tee. An advanced Speed Pocket, a cut in the sole, accelerates the ball even on low hits by increasing the clubface’s flexibility and trampoline effect, transferring more energy over a larger ball area for higher, longer shots with less loss on mishits.
Rose also carries a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots. Its higher ball flight ensures a soft landing on the green and is especially effective for shots from the rough. The QiD4 is a recent addition to many professional bags.
Irons That Combine Control and Feel
For irons, Rose uses Miura clubs depending on course setup: a 4- or 5-utility iron from the TC-502 series and regular irons (6-PW) from the MC-502 series. The TC models are Tour Cavity irons offering more forgiveness with a cavity back, while the MC models are Muscle Cavity irons (blades) favored for maximum control and intense ball feel but requiring precise contact.
For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist, using either Vokey Design SM10 wedges with 52° or 56° lofts or Vokey Design WedgeWorks wedges with 60° loft.
The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter from Carlsbad, California, not yet publicly available and tested by Rose since September 2025. Made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum, it features a mallet design. Like many of his tour peers, Rose plays the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball.
