From driver to putter: A look inside Justin Rose’s bag reveals the clubs behind his record-breaking win at Torrey Pines.
At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record 23-under-par, the South African-born golfer claimed his first title of the season. A look inside his bag reveals a versatile club selection as impressive as his performance in Southern California.
Justin Rose’s Driver Choice: Callaway
Off the tee, Rose opts for a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact profile, and low spin while benefiting from the forgiving “Max” design. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability from the Ai Smart Face technology, which optimizes the clubface using real-player data to create multiple sweet spots, stabilizing spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, featuring Twist Face technology for explosive shots from turf and tee. An evolution of the Speed Pocket in the sole increases face flexibility, boosts trampoline effect, and transfers more energy over a larger ball area, resulting in longer, higher shots even on imperfect strikes. He also includes a 7-wood TaylorMade QiD4 with a 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots. Its high ball flight ensures soft landings on the green and works well from the rough. The QiD4, newly introduced, is already popular among professionals.
Irons Combining Control and Feel
For irons, Rose uses Miura’s TC-502 series 4- or 5-utility irons depending on course conditions. His regular irons, numbered 6 through pitching wedge, are also Miura, from their MC-502 line. The TC models are tour cavity backs, offering forgiveness with a cavity behind the face shifting weight to the perimeter for higher ball flight and greater tolerance. The MC models are muscle cavity or “blade” irons, providing maximum control and intense feel but requiring precise strikes.
In wedges, Rose trusts Titleist’s Vokey Design, alternating between SM10 models at 52° and 56° lofts or WedgeWorks at 60° loft.
The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron putter from Carlsbad, California. The Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype is not yet commercially available and has been tested by Rose since September 2025. Made of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum, it features a mallet design. As with many of his tour peers, Rose uses the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball.
