On Tuesday at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) match featured the New York-based Jupiter Links Golf Club (Max Homa, Kevin Kisner, Akshay Bhatia) against the Los Angeles Golf Club (Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala). The match was highlighted by the first-ever albatross in TGL history, achieved by Justin Rose. The Los Angeles Golf Club secured a clear victory in the second phase of the match, known as the Singles.
Triples Phase: Early Hammer Puts Los Angeles Ahead
During the first phase, called Triples, Los Angeles scored the first hammer on the second hole, earning two points. Jupiter Links responded with their first hammer on the fifth hole, gaining an important point. Los Angeles extended their lead on the sixth hole with another point. After nine holes, Los Angeles finished the Triples phase with a bogey and a score of 4:1, following a penalty stroke from Jupiter Links on the final Triples hole.
In the Singles phase, Los Angeles dominated. Justin Rose opened the tenth hole (Par 5) with a confident 300-meter tee shot using a driver. Max Homa from New York also played a solid but shorter tee shot, positioning his team for a potential comeback.
Historic Moment: Justin Rose Scores TGL’s First Albatross
Justin Rose stunned fans on the tenth hole by scoring an albatross with a 210-meter 4-iron shot, energizing the crowd at the SoFi Center. Even Tiger Woods smiled, noting he had never achieved an albatross in his career. This shot extended Los Angeles’s lead to 5:1.

On holes twelve and thirteen, Jupiter Links clawed back three points. Kevin Kisner made par on twelve after Collin Morikawa took a penalty. Max Homa then earned two more points for New York with a birdie hammer, making the score 4:5 and adding late-match excitement.
Closing Stages: Los Angeles Seals the Win
Los Angeles saved a hammer for the penultimate hole, compelling New York to accept it to stay in the match. Collin Morikawa’s par secured the hole and effectively sealed the match, which ended 8:4 in favor of the Los Angeles Golf Club. With this win and a 1-1-0 record, Los Angeles remains in playoff contention, while Jupiter Links suffers its fifth consecutive loss.
