The WTGL launches in winter 2026-27. TMRW Sports reveals the first LPGA Tour players joining the new team golf league.

TMRW Sports announced the first group of LPGA Tour players committed to WTGL, a new team golf platform in collaboration with the LPGA. The global player lineup includes World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time US Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Top Stars Headline the WTGL

Similar to the TGL, the WTGL will feature some of the sport’s biggest stars, as shown by this first wave of committed players. The standout is undoubtedly Jeeno Thitikul, the world number one who has earned five LPGA Tour awards and seven victories. Leading the world rankings since August 2025, the 22-year-old is one of golf’s brightest young talents.

Also joining the new league next year is English player Charley Hull, ranked 5th globally with three LPGA Tour wins and a notable 15-9-3 Solheim Cup record for Team Europe over seven appearances.

LPGA Hall of Famer and former world number one Lydia Ko will also compete in the WTGL. The 28-year-old boasts 23 LPGA Tour wins including three major titles and three Olympic medals.

Canadian Brooke Henderson, announced as the fourth player by TMRW Sports, has won 14 LPGA Tour events including two majors, making her Canada’s most successful female golfer.

The final face of the initial WTGL group is Lexi Thompson, the 30-year-old American who won the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, becoming the second-youngest major winner in LPGA history.

\”WTGL Will Be a Global Stage\”

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed optimism about the WTGL’s future: “The WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA stars can shine, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best. These players will excel in the WTGL’s competitive environment as fans admire their skills and build deeper connections through unparalleled access offered by the league’s modern matchplay team format.”

Scheduled to begin in winter 2026
