The WTGL will launch in winter 2026-27. Now TMRW Sports announces the first LPGA Tour players joining next winter.
TMRW Sports has revealed the inaugural group of LPGA Tour players committing to the WTGL, a new team golf platform in collaboration with the LPGA. This global roster includes world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, triple Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time US Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.
Top Talent Headlining the WTGL
Like the TGL, the WTGL will feature some of the biggest stars in the sport, as shown by this first wave of committed players.
Leading the group is Jeeno Thitikul, the world number one who has already earned five LPGA Tour awards and seven tour wins. She has topped the rankings since August 2025 and, at only 22 years old, ranks among the sport’s brightest talents.
Also joining is Charley Hull, currently world No. 5, with three LPGA victories and a standout 15-9-3 record in seven Solheim Cups representing Team Europe.
LPGA Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 Lydia Ko, 28, will compete in the new WTGL season as well. She boasts 23 LPGA wins, including three majors, and three Olympic medals.
Canada’s Brooke Henderson, with 14 LPGA Tour wins including two majors, is the most successful Canadian female golfer and another key player announced by TMRW Sports.
The fifth announced player is 30-year-old Lexi Thompson from the USA, the second-youngest major winner in LPGA history after capturing the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
\”WTGL Will Be a Global Stage\”
Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed optimism: \”The WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA stars can shine, and this initial wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best athletes,\” he said. \”These players will thrive in the WTGL’s competitive environment while fans admire their skills and connect more deeply with their personalities through unprecedented access in a modern matchplay team format.\”
Scheduled to start in winter 2026/27, the WTGL will offer a fast-paced team matchplay season at the specially built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Building on the foundation of the TGL presented by SoFi, WTGL will showcase the skills, personalities, and team spirit of participating LPGA stars. It will include TGL elements like mic moments, risk-reward team decisions, and hammer throws, combined with the same technology-based platform offering comprehensive shot data and analytics seamlessly integrated into competition. With Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as lead capital partner, WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second project and partners with the LPGA. More details will be announced in the coming months. Stay updated at
