TMRW Sports Announces First LPGA Players for WTGL Winter 2026-27

The WTGL launches in winter 2026-27. TMRW Sports announces the first LPGA Tour players for the upcoming season.

TMRW Sports has revealed the initial group of LPGA Tour players who have committed to the WTGL, a new team golf platform in partnership with the LPGA. The global roster includes World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time U.S. Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Star Power Highlights WTGL

Following the model of the TGL, WTGL will feature some of the sport’s biggest stars, as evident from this first wave of committed players.

Undoubtedly the flagship player is Jenny Thitikul, the world number one who has already won five LPGA Tour awards and seven LPGA Tour tournaments. Leading the rankings since August 2025, she is one of the biggest talents worldwide at just 22 years old.

Joining next year is Charley Hull, ranked fifth globally, with three LPGA Tour wins and a remarkable Solheim Cup record of 15-9-3 for Team Europe across seven appearances.

LPGA Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 Lydia Ko will also compete in the WTGL next year. The 28-year-old has 23 LPGA Tour wins, including three majors, and three Olympic medals to her name.

Brooke Henderson, announced as the fourth player, holds 14 LPGA Tour wins including two majors, making her the most successful Canadian female golfer in history.

Lexi Thompson rounds out the first WTGL group. The 30-year-old American won the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, becoming the second youngest major winner in LPGA history.

WTGL: A Global Stage for LPGA Stars

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed optimism after the announcement: \”The WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA stars can shine, and this initial wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best golfers,\” he said. \”These players will excel in the WTGL’s competitive environment while fans admire their skills and build a deeper connection through unprecedented access provided by the league’s modern matchplay team format.\”

Launching in winter 2026/27, WTGL will offer a season of fast-paced team matchplays held at the specially constructed SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Showcasing the skills, personalities, and team spirit of participating LPGA stars, WTGL builds on the foundation of the TGL presented by SoFi. In addition to TGL elements like mic moments, risk-reward team decisions, and the hammer throw, WTGL offers the same technology-driven platform with comprehensive shot performance data and statistics seamlessly integrated into competition. With Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as the lead capital partner, WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second project in partnership with the LPGA. More details will be announced in the coming months – stay updated at
