TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D Driver series with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility for diverse swing styles.

TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D Drivers, designed for maximum speed with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustment options. Four different models cater to a range of player types and swing characteristics.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D Drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date, featuring newly developed carbon faces that generate more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium, while being more durable and long-lasting. Improved roll radii on the face reduce spin rate deviations regardless of strike location.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocketâ„¢, developed using finite element analysis, enhances face flexibility in the lower region, expanding the high-performance zone to stabilize ball speed in typical impact areas. Additionally, a corrective face curvature and optimized head aerodynamics with smooth transitions and subtle integrated structures promote clean airflow throughout the swing.

Customization with Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is extensive customization. All models include a 4° loft sleeve enabling adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Specially designed REAX shafts are available, tailored to three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, Active) and offered in various flexes and weights. This allows standard shafts to be precisely matched to different player profiles.

Model Lineup: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D: The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9g x 2 / 4g x 2). Placement influences ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and shot bias. Heavier forward weights boost ball speed; rear positioning enhances stability.

Qi4D LS: Built for maximum speed and low spin, its head shape was optimized aerodynamically using numerical flow simulations to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the back edge. Two TAS weights (15g and 4g) enable precise spin and trajectory control.

Qi4D Max: Prioritizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum reduces weight and adds adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13g and 4g) provide flexible center of gravity shifting between increased ball speed or enhanced stability.

Qi4D Max Lite: Applies Max model technology but in a lighter design. The lightest head, shaft, and grip in the series target players aiming to increase clubhead speed deliberately.
