TaylorMade launches the Qi4D driver series with four models focusing on maximum speed and compatibility for various swing types. The new driver is designed for increased speed in detail.
TaylorMade introduces fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Engineered for maximum speed, these new models feature high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability, catering to different playing and swing styles.
New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable yet. They use newly developed carbon faces that provide more efficient ball speed compared to titanium while being more durable. Improved face roll radii help reduce spin rate deviations, regardless of high or low strikes on the face.
An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, developed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases face flexibility in the lower area, expanding the high-performance zone to stabilize ball speed in typical impact zones. This is complemented by corrective face curvature and optimized aerodynamics with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtle integrated structures to ensure clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization with Shafts and Adjustments
A key feature of the Qi4D line is its high level of customization. All models feature a 4° loft sleeve that allows adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts designed for three swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) are available in various flex and weight categories, enabling precise fitting based on player type.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on their positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies can be influenced. Heavier front weights promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement increases stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS prioritizes maximum speed and low spin. Its head shape was aerodynamically optimized through numerical flow simulations to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory adjustments.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max focuses on forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum is used to reduce weight and add adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) permit flexible center of gravity shifts between higher speed or enhanced stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite incorporates the Max model’s technologies but is designed for a very light overall build. Its head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, targeting golfers aiming to increase clubhead speed effectively.
The Qi4D drivers can be pre-ordered from January 8, 2026, for €699 and will be available in specialized retail stores starting January 29.
