TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Speed and Versatility

TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D Driver series with four models designed for maximum speed and compatibility. Discover the details of this driver built for increased ball speed.

TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Engineered for maximum velocity, these new models feature high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability options, catering to various swing types with four distinct models.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date, featuring newly developed carbon faces that generate higher ball speeds compared to titanium while providing enhanced durability. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin variations, regardless of whether the ball strikes higher or lower on the clubface.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases face flexibility at the lower section, expanding the high-performance sweet spot and stabilizing ball speed across common hit zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, the head’s aerodynamics have been maximized with refined head shapes, smooth transitions, and discreet integrated structures to promote clean airflow throughout the entire swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization with Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is the high degree of personalization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve that allows adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are offered, tailored to three different swing characteristics—Hold, Balance, and Active—and available in various flex and weight classes. This enables precise shaft fitting suited to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D

The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Weight positioning allows control over ball speed, stability, forgiveness, as well as draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights placed forward promote higher ball speed, whereas rearward placement enhances stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS is optimized for maximum speed and low spin. Aerodynamic optimizations based on computational fluid dynamics ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) enable precise adjustment of spin and trajectory.

Qi4D Max

The Qi4D Max focuses on forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum construction reduces weight and offers additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) allow flexible center of gravity shifts between increased ball speed or greater stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Qi4D Max Lite shares technologies with the Max model but emphasizes a lightweight design. Head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, targeting golfers who want to increase their clubhead speed intentionally.

The Qi4D drivers will be available for pre-order from January 8,
