TaylorMade Qi Max and Qi Max HL: Next Generation Game-Improvement Irons

TaylorMade introduces the Qi Max and Qi Max HL irons, designed for distance, forgiveness, and sleek design in game-improvement clubs.

TaylorMade presents its new generation of game-improvement irons focused on enhanced distance, forgiveness, sound, and feel, alongside aesthetic appeal to meet various player needs.

TaylorMade Qi Max and Qi Max HL: Next Generation Game-Improvement Irons

A key development was the clubface design. Its asymmetrical construction with a higher toe than heel often causes uneven deformation at impact in many game-improvement irons, leading to additional cut-spin and shots pushing right on toe strikes. The Qi Max and Qi Max HL irons feature a clubface engineered to bend more evenly, resulting in more stable ball launches, straighter ball flights, and high ball speed.

Sound, Feel, and Internal Enhancements

Sound and feel were also priorities. Both models incorporate a sound-stabilizing bar connecting the rear bar to the topline, stabilizing the topline and reducing unwanted impact noises. Additionally, the ECHO damping material is positioned higher within the clubface to reduce vibrations and produce a solid sound while maintaining feedback at impact. Further optimized clubfaces and internal structures boost speed and consistent distance.

Two Versions for Different Player Types

The Qi Max irons target players seeking distance and forgiveness in a relatively compact design, featuring thinner toplines, shorter blade lengths, and less offset where the head seamlessly transitions into the hosel. With FLTD CG technology, the center of gravity in long irons is positioned low for higher launch and good stopping power, shifting higher in short irons to aid distance control. The Speed Pocket technology in irons 4 through 8 stabilizes ball speeds on low strikes.

The Qi Max HL irons focus on maximum forgiveness with larger clubhead profiles, higher faces, wider soles, and thicker toplines to boost stability and confidence. Their lofts are 3° weaker than the Qi Max, combined with ultralight heads, shafts, and grips, making them ideal for players with slower swing speeds by improving clubhead speed, launch height, and stopping ability.

Fresh Design for Qi Max and Qi Max HL Irons

Both models showcase a bright, monochromatic design inspired by the P-Series. They are available in steel for 183 euros per iron and graphite shaft options for 200 euros per iron. Pre-orders start January 8, 2026, with availability in stores from January 29, 2026.
