A bronze statue of golf legend Severiano \”Seve\” Ballesteros has vanished from his hometown. Authorities are investigating the theft.
The life-size bronze statue, erected in 2009, disappeared from Pedrena, Ballesteros’ hometown in Cantabria, Spain. Spanish authorities have launched an investigation after the council of the larger municipality Marina de Cudeyo announced on Instagram that the \”unfortunate event\” over the weekend suggests the statue was stolen. The council urged the public for help: \”If anyone has observed suspicious activity, especially in the last 24 hours, please inform the Guardia Civil or the local police.\”
