Three new Scotty Cameron putters: Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design combine classic looks with modern face technology.
Based in Carlsbad, California, the Titleist subsidiary Scotty Cameron has introduced three new models to their Studio-Style family. The Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design complete the lineup of the putter family, complementing Scotty Cameron’s series of blades and mid-mallets. These putters are designed to suit different toe-flow profiles and putting strokes.
The Studio-Style line combines classic Scotty Cameron blade shapes with newly developed mid-mallet constructions. The focus is on evolving well-known designs with technical adjustments aimed at controlled feel and consistent ball speeds. A key feature is the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with a chain-link milling pattern, which affects sound and vibration at impact without changing feedback or ball roll consistency.
Scotty Cameron Santa Fe: Classic Design with Modern Technology
The Santa Fe model revives a decades-old design inspired by the Newport shape. Its curved hosel creates pronounced toe flow, benefiting players with a strong arc in their putting stroke and aiding face angle feel throughout the stroke. The classic appearance is enhanced by modern manufacturing techniques and updated face technology.
Fastback 2 and Fastback 2 Long Design: Mid-Mallet Options for Different Strokes
The Fastback 2 is a compact mid-mallet based on the previous Studio-Style Fastback. Its plumbing neck hosel encourages moderate toe flow, favoring a slight inside-to-inside stroke path. The putter head features a milled steel body combined with a black anodized aluminum insert between the toe and heel to increase perimeter weighting and provide an alignment aid. This model is also available for left-handed players. The Fastback 2 Long Design offers a longer and heavier version with a 38-inch length, tungsten sole weights for increased head mass, a longer straight grip, and a stiffer shaft, aimed at players seeking a steadier and more controlled stroke. It is also offered in a left-handed version.
Focus on Face Technology for Enhanced Feedback and Control
All Studio-Style putters feature the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with a chain-link milling pattern. Internal tests favored carbon steel over other materials due to its reduced vibration duration at impact, producing a short, controlled sound. This material also supports consistent ball speeds. A nickel coating protects the face insert and contributes to durability. The specialized milling reduces contact points between the ball and face to further dampen sound.
The Santa Fe and Fastback 2 are available in standard lengths of 33, 34, and 35 inches and retail for €529.00 MSRP. The Fastback 2 Long Design is available only in 38 inches and retails for €599.00 MSRP. These new Studio-Style putters have been available in golf shops since February 12.
