Three new Scotty Cameron putters: Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design combine classic design with modern face technology.Titleist’s Carlsbad-based subsidiary Scotty Cameron presents three new putter models in their Studio-Style family. The Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design putters complete the offering within the family, complementing Scotty Cameron’s series of blades and mid-mallets. The putters are designed for different toe-flow profiles and putting strokes.
Scotty Cameron Studio-Style Putter Lineup
The Studio-Style line merges classic Scotty Cameron blade shapes with newly developed mid-mallet constructions. The focus lies on evolving well-known designs, enhanced by technical adjustments aimed at controlled feel and consistent ball speeds. A key feature is the Studio Carbon Steel face insert paired with a Chain-Link milling pattern that influences sound and vibration at impact without altering feedback or ball roll consistency.
New Models: Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design
The Santa Fe model revives a decades-old design inspired by the Newport head shape. Its curved hosel promotes pronounced toe flow, benefiting players with distinctly arcing putting strokes and aiding face angle awareness throughout the stroke. Modern manufacturing techniques and current face technology complement its classic look.
The Fastback 2, a compact mid-mallet based on the previous Studio-Style Fastback, features a plumbing neck hosel for moderate toe flow, encouraging a slight inside-to-inside putting path. Its milled steel body is enhanced by a black anodized aluminum insert between toe and heel to increase perimeter weighting and aid alignment. Left-handed versions are also available.
The Fastback 2 Long Design offers a longer, heavier variant of the Fastback 2, maintaining head shape and hosel but engineered for extra stability. Measuring 38 inches in length with tungsten sole weights, a longer straight grip, and a stiffer shaft, it targets players seeking steadier, more consistent putting strokes. This model is also available for lefties.
Face Technology and Design: Focus on Feedback and Control
All Studio-Style putters incorporate the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with Chain-Link milling. Internal tests favored carbon steel over other materials for reducing vibration duration at impact, producing a short, controlled sound while supporting consistent ball speed. A nickel coating protects the insert and enhances durability. The milling pattern reduces ball-to-face contact points, further dampening sound.
The Santa Fe and Fastback 2 models come in standard lengths of 33, 34, and 35 inches, priced at €529 MSRP. The Fastback 2 Long Design is exclusively 38 inches and priced at €599 MSRP. These new Studio-Style series putters have been available in golf retail since February 12.
