Odyssey Introduces AI-Enhanced Ai-DUAL Putters for Greater Precision

Odyssey uses AI to improve ball speed and precision with the new Ai-DUAL putters’ smart insert design.

Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its putter line with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation and novel design. Central to these is the Ai-DUAL Insert, a two-layer urethane element developed using artificial intelligence. It features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer designed to provide consistent ball speed across the face and enhanced forward roll. The insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, which has a steeper 19-degree angle compared to previous models to promote more consistent forward rolling across the face.

Entry-Level Models Also Developed with Artificial Intelligence

The Ai-DUAL putters are available in various configurations. Standard models have a lightweight steel shaft with counterweight at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. For players seeking different balance, Odyssey offers Cruiser versions with heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and longer grips.

The Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 as a Zero-Torque Putter

An extension to the line is the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters featuring a modern, center-shafted design. This design positions the shaft below the center of gravity, causing the putter head to rest slightly upwards, achieving a \”Zero Torque\” effect. This keeps the face more square through the stroke. These models also have a preset two-degree forward shaft lean that prevents accidental face opening from hand forward pressure. A specially designed reverse-taper grip compensates this setup, allowing comfortable, parallel alignment of the grip and face.
