Odyssey Introduces AI-Enhanced Ai-DUAL Putters for Greater Precision

Odyssey uses AI: The new Ai-DUAL putters feature intelligent insert design to improve ball speed and putting precision.

Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its putter lineup with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation and novel design. Central to these is the Ai-DUAL insert, a two-layer urethane component developed using artificial intelligence. It consists of a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer designed to deliver consistent ball speed across the face and enhanced forward roll. This insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, which is deeper and more pronounced at a 19-degree angle than previous models to help the ball roll forward more consistently across the face.

Entry-Level Models Also Developed with Artificial Intelligence

The Ai-DUAL putters come in various configurations. Standard models feature a lightweight steel shaft with a counterweight at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. For players who prefer a different balance, Odyssey offers Cruiser variants equipped with heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and longer grips.

The Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 as a Zero-Torque Putter

An extension of the line is the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putter, which features a modern, centrally mounted shaft design. This positions the shaft below the center of gravity plane, causing the putter to rest slightly upward at the tip and achieving the so-called \”Zero Torque\” effect. This construction keeps the face relatively square during the stroke. Additionally, these models have a preset two-degree forward shaft lean to prevent accidental face opening during hand-forward pressing. A specially designed reverse-taper grip compensates for this setting, allowing comfortable, parallel alignment of the grip and face.
