Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for more speed, control, and classic Mizuno feel.
Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver as well as various fairway woods and hybrids, which the manufacturer claims redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel.
Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology
At the center of the innovative woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemical and materials manufacturer Toray, Mizuno has developed a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material stores and releases more energy at impact than conventional titanium or other composite constructions, resulting in higher ball speeds over a significantly larger sweet spot.
Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) increases by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two different driver models.
The standard JPX ONE Driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and a straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT offers a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models come with adjustable weighting systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tune launch and spin to individual needs.
Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer
The JPX ONE series also includes newly designed fairway woods featuring a reengineered CORTECH chamber where the internal distance between the sole and chamber wall is varied. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face by flexing toward the toe and heel without sacrificing the center’s performance.
Each clubhead uses a composite crown to save crucial grams in the upper area and lower the center of gravity, promoting higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum efficiency in energy transfer at impact, while the redesigned sole improves interaction with the turf, enabling cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. Available with lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer an ideal combination of speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance with classic Mizuno feel.
JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology
The hybrids in the JPX ONE series follow the fairway woods’ design philosophy but in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure increases face stability and allows Mizuno engineers to position available mass deeper and further back in the clubhead for optimal launch and maximum spin control.
Similar to the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face paired with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Offered in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they provide a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
