Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods Featuring High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and the classic Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids, designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In cooperation with Japanese chemical and material manufacturer Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than conventional titanium or composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds across a larger strike area.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) is expanded by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two different driver models in total.

The standard JPX ONE driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT offers a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models are equipped with adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely customize launch and spin to individual preferences.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also includes innovative fairway woods featuring a newly designed CORTECH chamber, where the internal distance between sole and chamber wall is specifically varied. This geometry allows the face’s flexion toward the toe and heel to maximize energy transfer across the entire face without sacrificing efficiency at the center.

Each clubhead includes a circumferential composite crown, saving critical grams at the top and lowering the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch and reduced spin. The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum energy efficiency at impact, while the completely newly developed sole optimizes turf interaction, enabling cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. With lofts ranging from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer an ideal combination of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance with Mizuno’s characteristic feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids in the JPX ONE series adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods but employ a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure enhances face stability and allows Mizuno engineers to position free mass deeper and further back in the clubhead, supporting optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Available in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they provide a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
