Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for more speed, control, and the signature Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new line of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series features a new driver alongside various fairway woods and hybrids, designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver with NANOALLOY face technology. In cooperation with the Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the clubface at impact. This material stores and releases more energy upon impact than traditional titanium or composite constructions, resulting in higher ball speeds across a larger sweet spot.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) is increased by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two driver models in total.

The standard JPX ONE driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and a straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT offers a more compact, tour-tested shape with a neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models come with adjustable weighting systems and a Quick-Switch hosel for precise launch and spin customization to fit individual needs.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also includes innovative fairway woods featuring a newly designed CORTECH chamber where the internal spacing between the sole and chamber walls is precisely varied. This geometry enhances the flexing of the face toward the toe and heel, maximizing energy transfer across the entire face without sacrificing the center.

Each clubhead sports a full composite crown that saves key grams at the top and lowers the center of gravity. This results in higher launch and reduced spin. The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum efficiency in energy transfer at impact, while the completely reengineered sole improves turf interaction, allowing cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. With lofts ranging from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods aim to provide the ideal combination of speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectory for golfers seeking effortless distance paired with the characteristic Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids in the JPX ONE series adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods but in a more compact and iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure increases face stability and allows engineers to position mass lower and farther back in the head, optimizing launch and maximizing spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with the CORTECH chamber and the new sole design. Available lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28° create a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
