Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids featuring high-tech faces for more speed, control, and classic Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids, designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel, according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

At the core of this new lineup is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. Developed in collaboration with Japanese chemical and material company Toray, Mizuno created a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy upon contact than traditional titanium or composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds across a significantly larger effective hitting area.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face that is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) expands by over 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno unveiled two driver models: the standard JPX ONE driver has a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and a straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT features a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models include adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tailor launch and spin to individual needs.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE line also introduces innovative fairway woods with a redesigned CORTECH chamber, where internal distances between the sole and chamber wall vary strategically. This design enhances face flexion towards the toe and heel, maximizing energy transfer across the entire face without sacrificing center face performance.

Each clubhead features a wraparound composite crown that saves critical grams in the upper section, lowering the center of gravity for higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures efficient energy transfer at impact, while a completely redesigned sole improves turf interaction. Available lofts range from 15° to 24°, offering an ideal blend of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectory for golfers seeking effortless distance with Mizuno’s signature feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids in the JPX ONE series adopt the fairway woods’ design philosophy, translated into a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability, allowing engineers to reposition mass lower and further back in the clubhead for optimized launch and maximum spin control.

Like the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Offered in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they create a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
