Mizuno JPX ONE: High-Tech Woods for Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids featuring high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and typical Mizuno feel.

The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, unveils its new line of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series consists of a new driver, various fairway woods, and hybrids, designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

At the core of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. Developed in cooperation with the Japanese chemical and material company Toray, Mizuno created a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than conventional titanium or composite constructions, producing higher ball speeds across a larger sweet spot.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) is increased by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two driver models: the standard JPX ONE with a slightly larger head for stability and straighter ball flight, and the JPX ONE SELECT with a more compact, tour-proven shape and neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both feature adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel for precise launch and spin customization.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE fairway woods include a new CORTECH chamber with varied internal spacing between sole and chamber walls. This geometry enhances face flexing toward the toe and heel, maximizing energy transfer across the entire face without loss in the center. Each head has a composite crown that saves weight high up, lowering the center of gravity for higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures efficient energy transfer at impact, while the newly designed sole improves ground interaction for cleaner strikes and consistent ball speeds from various lies. Available in lofts from 15° to 24°, they offer the perfect blend of speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance with Mizuno’s signature feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids adopt the fairway woods’ design philosophy but feature a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability and allows engineers to position weight lower and further back for optimal launch and spin control. Like the fairway woods, they incorporate a MAS1 face with a CORTECH chamber and newly designed sole. Offered in lofts from 19° to 28°, these hybrids create a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
