Mizuno JPX ONE: New High-Tech Woods for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – driver, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and the classic Mizuno feel.

The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, presents its new club family in the woods category. The Mizuno JPX ONE series consists of a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids, which the manufacturer claims redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The highlight of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In cooperation with the Japanese chemical and material company Toray, Mizuno has developed a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material stores and releases more energy upon impact than traditional titanium or composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds across a significantly larger sweet spot.

Paired with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) increases by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two different driver models.

The standard JPX ONE driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT has a more compact, tour-proven shape with a neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models are equipped with adjustable weighting systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tailor launch and spin to individual preferences.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also includes innovative fairway woods with a redesigned CORTECH chamber, where the internal spacing between the sole and chamber wall is selectively varied. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face via flexion toward the toe and heel without sacrificing efficiency at the center of the face.

Each clubhead incorporates a surrounding composite crown that saves crucial grams in the upper area, lowering the center of gravity. This results in higher launch and reduced spin. The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness optimizes energy exchange efficiency, while the newly engineered sole enhances interaction with the turf, enabling cleaner contact and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. With lofts ranging from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer an ideal combination of speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance with the distinct Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids in the JPX ONE series adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure increases face stability, allowing Mizuno engineers to place saved mass lower and further back in the head to support optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, these hybrids feature an MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the aforementioned innovative sole. Available lofts are 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, providing a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
