Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for more speed, control, and the classic Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series consists of a new driver, various fairway woods, and hybrids that promise to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver with NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with the Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno has developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material is claimed to store and release more energy during impact than traditional titanium or composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds over a larger sweet spot.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) expands by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two driver models in total.

The standard JPX ONE driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and a straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT offers a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models come with adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tailor launch and spin to individual preferences.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

Also introduced are innovative fairway woods within the JPX ONE series. These feature a newly designed CORTECH chamber, where the internal distance between the sole and chamber wall is deliberately varied. This geometry allows flexing of the face towards the toe and heel to maximize energy transfer across the entire face without sacrificing performance in the center.

Each clubhead is equipped with a surrounding composite crown that saves crucial grams in the upper area and lowers the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum efficiency in energy exchange at impact, while the completely redesigned sole optimizes interaction with the turf, allowing cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. Offered with lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods provide the ideal combination of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectory for golfers seeking effortless distance with the characteristic Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids in the JPX ONE series adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods but in a more compact and iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure enhances face stability and enables Mizuno engineers to position free mass deeper and further back in the clubhead, supporting optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Like the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Available with lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they create a seamless transition from long irons
