Mizuno launches a new M.CRAFT putter series featuring models named after Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.
Mizuno introduces the next generation of its acclaimed milled putter line – the M.CRAFT City Series. This collection features four distinct models inspired by the spirit and character of some of Japan’s most famous cities: Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.
Tradition, individuality, innovation, and foundation
Marking a bold new chapter in Mizuno’s putter design philosophy, the M.CRAFT City Series consciously departs from the design rhythm of previous M.CRAFT, OMOI, and M.CRAFT X models, reconnecting with the heritage of precise engineering, pure feedback, and timeless craftsmanship quality.
The City Series embodies a new creative direction built on four guiding principles: tradition, individuality, innovation, and foundation. Each model honors a unique aspect of Mizuno’s design identity. Forged in Japan from Pure Select 1025E Mild Carbon Steel, these putters deliver an exceptionally pure and responsive feel. Advanced sound analysis, deep precision milling, and copper-backed forging unite to create the most refined M.CRAFT line to date.
Copper backing for soft and sensitive feel
At the heart of each clubhead is a copper back, introduced to produce Mizuno’s softest and most sensitive putter feel ever. This is complemented by an enhanced deep face milling that ensures smoother roll and clear acoustic feedback at impact.
Across all models, a subtle alignment aid along the top edge integrates harmoniously with each head shape, fostering confidence and consistency at address.
Four unique models inspired by Japanese cities
The Kyoto model embodies the traditional essence of Mizuno’s blade putters and comes in two variants: Kyoto P (Plumber Neck) and Kyoto S (Slant Neck). Both feature a toe-weighted blade pad design that positions the center of gravity directly behind the impact zone for exceptional control and ball connection.
Reinforced sole construction at heel and toe enhances structural stiffness, refines sound and feel, and eliminates metallic resonance. The result is a putter with classic proportions that feels thoroughly modern in feedback and stroke flow.
The Osaka offers an elegant mid-mallet silhouette, available with plumber or slant neck. It blends traditional shapes with modern stability, featuring a shorter heel-to-toe length and a wide footprint providing visual calm and confidence. Perimeter weighting increases MOI, and subtle toe hang options let players choose their preferred release profile.
The Nagoya model introduces the Roll-Up Cavity geometry that minimizes sole movement at impact and maximizes resonance control. Offered with slant or double-bend necks, it delivers a denser, solid impact feel and exceptionally stable roll. Enhanced perimeter weighting raises MOI further, with refined mass distribution providing a more authentic feel throughout the putting stroke—a result of years of acoustic and structural development.
Rounding out the series, Tokyo features Mizuno’s Channel-Wing design, a sculpted cavity combining aerodynamic form with outstanding rigidity. Like the Nagoya, its geometry is fine-tuned through sound analysis to eliminate unwanted frequencies and the metallic “ping”
