Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Play

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh wants to compete again, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

Expected news: Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who typically thrives in high-level contests, a motivation he found limited at LIV. His 2022 move to the Saudi-backed league was primarily due to injury concerns and the opportunity to secure a solid retirement fund. Thus, his surrender of the final contract year is unsurprising, although questions remain about financial settlements and his ownership in LIV’s Smash GC team, captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation abounds about where Koepka will next compete. Will he appear on the DP World Tour immediately, possibly paying a penalty? Or on the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV play, following softened lifetime bans from former commissioner Jay Monahan? Why hold grudges when every LIV returnee strengthens the entrenched PGA Tour? This key query seems partially answered. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally requested reinstatement of his PGA Tour membership last Friday.
