Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Now

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh ready for a comeback, Charley Hull launching her YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was reportedly agreed upon amicably, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Many doubt this, as Koepka is a competitor who thrives in high-level competition, which he found limited in LIV. Koepka switched in 2022 largely due to injury concerns and to secure a lucrative retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contracted season is understandable, though questions remain about buyouts or repayments. He also remains owner of his LIV team Smash GC, which named Talor Gooch as new captain.

Speculation grows about where Koepka will play next: the DP World Tour where he’d be immediately eligible, possibly with a penalty; or the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV event, after previous lifetime bans were softened. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership not extended after 2022.
