Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh also eager to compete again, Charley Hull soon launching on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. However, Koepka is known as a competitor motivated by top-level competition, which he found lacking in LIV. In 2022, he had joined LIV mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a comfortable retirement fund. Thus, his skipping the final contractual season is not surprising, though questions remain about possible buyouts or judgments about team ownership of Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation abounds regarding which tours Koepka will play on next. Immediate eligibility on the DP World Tour might require a penalty payment, while his PGA Tour membership could be reactivated following a previously imposed one-year suspension for LIV involvement, a sanction that has since been considerably softened. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
