Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, and Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League season 2026, which begins on February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for his family, according to a friendly agreement stated officially by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he only partially found in LIV. He switched in 2022 mainly because of injury concerns and to secure a good retirement fund. Questions remain about whether he had to buy out his contract or return part of his guaranteed payment. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, which named Talor Gooch the new captain.

Speculation is rife about where Koepka will play next: the DP World Tour, where he would be immediately eligible, possibly after a penalty payment? Or the PGA Tour, where he must serve a one-year suspension since his last LIV event, after former commissioner Jay Monahan softened lifetime bans? The key question seems partly answered: according to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership not extended after 2022.
