Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to compete again, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season beginning February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion will remain connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for family, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known as a fierce competitor who shines in high-level contests, had only limited motivation in LIV. He switched to the Saudi-backed circuit in 2022 mainly due to injuries jeopardizing his career and to secure a solid retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contracted season is not surprising, though questions linger about financial settlements and his ongoing ownership of LIV’s Smash GC with Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation abounds on where Koepka will compete next: DP World Tour, possibly with a penalty; or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV event, now relaxed from a lifetime ban. Why be vindictive when every returning LIV player benefits the stronger PGA Tour? ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally requested reinstatement of his PGA Tour membership last Friday.
