Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returning, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was a friendly agreement, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on top-level competition, which he somewhat lacked at LIV. He switched in 2022 primarily for financial security due to injuries threatening his career. Questions remain about the contract buyout and whether he remains the owner of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation arises about where Koepka will compete next: the DP World Tour, where he would be eligible to play possibly with a penalty, or back to the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV event, after former Commissioner Jay Monahan reduced lifetime bans. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
