PGA Tour Membership Renewed: Koepka Back Without Suspension

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to compete again, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner plans to remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family. This was reportedly a mutual agreement, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, which LIV golf has limited. He had initially joined LIV in 2022 mainly for financial security due to injury concerns. Questions remain about contractual details and his ownership of the LIV Smash GC team, now led by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife about where Koepka will next play. He is immediately eligible on the DP World Tour, possibly with a penalty, or on the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV event. This suspension was softened from a lifetime ban previously enforced. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka recently applied formally to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, aiming to rejoin the playing field.
