Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager for more, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family. This was reportedly agreed upon amicably, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he lacked in LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injuries threatening his career and to secure a solid retirement fund. His absence in the last contract year is not surprising, though questions remain regarding contract buyouts or refunds. At 35, Koepka remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, which recently appointed Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation grows about where Koepka will play next. He is immediately eligible for the DP World Tour, perhaps facing penalties, or the PGA Tour, where he serves a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance. Former lifetime bans by Commissioner Jay Monahan have eased, enhancing the chances for LIV returnees. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership that lapsed post-2022.
