Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh wants another shot, Charley Hull to launch on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil confirmed the amicable agreement. Koepka is a competitor who thrives in top-level contests, something he found limited at LIV. His 2022 switch was primarily due to injury concerns and securing his retirement fund. Given this, skipping the last contractual season is unsurprising, though questions remain whether he had to buy out his contract or refund guaranteed money. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife about which fairways Koepka will grace next. He’d be immediately eligible on the DP World Tour, possibly with penalties, or face a one-year suspension on the PGA Tour after his LIV stint, following the easing of previous lifetime bans by former Commissioner Jay Monahan. It seems the essential question is partially answered: According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
