Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh ready for a comeback, Charley Hull launching soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was reportedly amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is a competitor who thrives on top-level competition, which he found limited at LIV. Having joined LIV in 2022 mainly to secure his career’s financial future after injuries, it is not surprising he passed on his final contracted season, though questions remain about financial settlements and his ownership of the LIV Smash GC team, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation mounts on where Koepka will next compete — on the DP World Tour, where he could play immediately, potentially with a penalty? Or back on the PGA Tour, where he would have to serve a one-year suspension from his last LIV event, though lifetime bans imposed by former Commissioner Jay Monahan were significantly eased. Returning LIV players, especially high-profile ones like Koepka, benefit the PGA Tour. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
