Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time. This was a friendly agreement according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, which LIV lacked for him. He originally joined LIV in 2022 mainly for financial security fearing injury might end his career. Questions remain about contract buyouts or partial repayments. Koepka still owns his LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch as the new captain.

Speculation continues where Koepka will play next — on the DP World Tour where he’s likely eligible, possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV event, reduced from a prior lifetime ban. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player roster.
