Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns Immediately to PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns at 62, Charley Hull launching a YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, five-time major winner Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh, staying affiliated with the rival circuit but citing more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil confirmed a friendly agreement, though speculation remains. Koepka, known for thriving in high-level competition, had mixed motivation at LIV and joined mainly in 2022 while recovering from injuries and securing retirement funds. Questions linger about contractual buyouts and his continuing ownership of LIV’s Smash GC team now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation surrounds which tours Koepka will play on next: the DP World Tour, where he could instantly play possibly after a penalty payment, or the PGA Tour where a one-year ban from his last LIV event would expire in August. Former lifetime bans by ex-Commissioner Jay Monahan were eased, allowing a path back. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership declined after 2022.
