Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Immediately Back on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to compete again, Charley Hull launching her own YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil officially stated this friendly agreement. Koepka is a competitor who thrives in top-level challenges, something he rarely found in LIV. Having joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a solid retirement payout, his skipping the final contracted season is not surprising though questions remain, like whether he bought out his contract or repaid part of the guarantee. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife about which fairways Koepka will grace next: DP World Tour where he would be immediately eligible—perhaps with a penalty? Or PGA Tour, where he must serve a one-year ban after his last LIV event, with former lifetime bans softened? Returning prominent LIV players benefits the PGA Tour. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, previously not renewed after 2022.
