Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers; Vijay Singh eager for more; Charley Hull plans YouTube debut. The Back Nine.

Expected: Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season beginning February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains affiliated with the rival circuit but needs more family time. According to LIV CEO Scott McNeil, this was a mutual agreement. But Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he found limited in LIV. Having switched in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and for financial security, Koepka’s decision to skip his final contracted season is not surprising, though questions remain about possible buyouts or salary repayments. He still owns the LIV team Smash GC, which recently appointed Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation grows regarding where Koepka will play next—DP World Tour, where he would be eligible immediately possibly with penalties; or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension following LIV participation after lifetime bans were softened. Recent reports from ESPN’s Mark Schlabach confirm Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership, inactive since 2022.
