Koepka’s Membership Renewed, No Ban: Immediate Return to PGA Tour

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returning, Charley Hull launching YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family. This decision was mutually agreed upon according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known for his competitive nature, thrives in high-level contests, which he found limited in LIV. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a good retirement fund. Questions remain whether Koepka had to buy out his contract or refund part of his guaranteed salary, and if he remains an owner of LIV’s Smash GC team, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation surrounds where Koepka will play next: the DP World Tour where he would be eligible immediately, possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension post-LIV, reduced from lifetime bans imposed earlier. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka submitted a formal application last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the players’ ranks.
