Brooks Koepka has reportedly withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner intends to stay connected with the rival circuit but needs more family time, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Known as a fiercely competitive player at the highest level, Koepka was less motivated on LIV. After moving in 2022 due to injury concerns and seeking a pension fund, it’s unsurprising he skipped the final contracted season, though questions remain about contract buyouts or paybacks. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC with Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculations arise about Koepka’s future playing tours: DP World Tour where he’s eligible immediately (possibly paying a penalty), or the PGA Tour where he serves a one-year suspension post-last LIV event—after life bans were softened. Insider reports reveal Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership, aiming for a comeback.
