Marco Penge Makes Major Bag Changes Ahead of PGA Tour Debut

Marco Penge is about to make his PGA Tour debut and announces major changes to his equipment bag.

Marco Penge was the standout star of the past DP World Tour season, finishing an incredible year second in the Race to Dubai, which earned him his first PGA Tour card. Now the Englishman is about to debut on the PGA Tour and announces significant changes to his bag. In early January, Penge revealed he signed an equipment deal with PXG and will use a new driver, mini-driver, and a completely new set of irons on the PGA Tour.

Marco Penge switches from Mizuno to PXG

Since 2022, Penge was signed with Japanese manufacturer Mizuno, with most of his bag consisting of their clubs. However, for the 2026 season, he is switching to PXG.

New in the Englishman’s bag are a new driver, a mini-driver, and an entirely new iron set. Penge will carry the PXG Lightning Tour Mid Driver along with the PXG Secret Weapon Mini-Driver at the top of his bag. Additionally, he will replace his Mizuno Pro S-3 irons with PXG’s 0311 GEN8 (4-iron) and 0317 ST irons (5-PW). His 2026 bag will also feature Vokey wedges, a Titleist T 5.2 Tour Prototype putter, and a Mizuno Pro Fli Hi (2) utility iron.

New clubs for a new tour challenge

Penge is considered a name to watch in the upcoming season, as one of the strongest drivers in the world. Many expect him to maintain his level on the PGA Tour and establish himself quickly. Leading the DP World Tour with nearly 292 meters per drive, he gained the most strokes off the tee. His new PXG Lightning Tour Mid Driver offers a club with strong, consistent, and tight dispersion, allowing him to maximize driving distance.

The PXG Secret Weapon Mini-Driver, released in early 2025, is regarded as one of the best mini drivers on tour. This could be a big help for Penge, who had struggled with his 3-wood in the past and previously switched to a mini-driver. The change helped him find the draw he had been seeking in his swing, according to the 27-year-old.
