Wilson unveils its most forgiving driver ever: the Dynapwr Max+. Designed for every player type and maximum control.
Expanding the DYNAPWR series, Wilson Golf introduces a new driver focusing on maximum forgiveness and stability. The new DYNAPWR Max+ driver stands out with its extremely high moment of inertia (MOI), surpassing 10,000 for the first time, providing more clubhead stability at impact for straighter drives and more consistent ball flights, even on off-center hits. According to Wilson, this high MOI was achieved without increasing the total mass of the clubhead, aiming to combine stability and forgiveness with high clubhead and ball speeds.
Focus on Stability and Customization with Wilson
The driver features extensive adjustability to cater to various player types, including a six-way adjustable hosel and a movable weight in the back of the clubhead, allowing individual tuning of launch angle and spin.
New Face Technology and Aerodynamics
The DYNAPWR Max+ performance is based on an advanced PKR360 (Peak Kinetic Response) face construction technology emphasizing improved performance in the heel area without compromising speed or consistency across the entire face.
Compared to previous DYNAPWR models, face insert control has been significantly enhanced. A lighter, more precisely manufactured face saved approximately five grams, strategically redistributed to the back of the clubhead, contributing substantially to the high MOI. Manufacturing accuracy has been further optimized to maximize ball speed within USGA regulations. Aerodynamically inspired surfaces additionally enhance clubhead speed.
Optimized Geometry and Clubhead Design with Enhanced Sound
To improve consistency on off-center hits, the DYNAPWR Max+ features adapted bulge and roll geometry. A rounder face shape helps better control gear effect, keeping spin and distance more stable on mishits.
The driver includes a lightweight carbon crown and a newly designed clubhead shape with increased usable volume. Lower crown height and reduced face mass provide more freedom in weight distribution, especially at the clubhead’s outer edges, further improving forgiveness. Visually, the Max+ targets skilled players as well, with pronounced toe flare offering enhanced alignment confidence without compromising clubhead stability.
